( RALEIGH ) -- Since 1924 the North Carolina Historical Review, published by the state Office of Archives and History, has been the definitive source for the study and understanding of North Carolina’s rich history. For a limited time, back issues of the Review are on sale at a reduced price of $5 each, plus shipping, instead of the regular price of $8.
The North Carolina Historical Review contains carefully researched, illustrated articles that explore North Carolina and southern history from the colonial period to the present. Each issue also features reviews of recent books about state, regional and national history. “Many readers have been interested in the April 2005 issue that featured articles about North Carolina’s African American heritage,” said Frances Kunstling, N.C. Office of Archives and History. Other issues have focused on women’s history, Native Americans and the Civil War.
Most issues of the North Carolina Historical Review published from 1962 through 2005 are in stock. There are no back issues for Spring 1982, July 1986, July 1991, July 1996, and January 2001.
