East Region State Parks

Water abounds in eastern North Carolina, and North Carolina's state parks and recreation areas in that part of the state invite you to explore the unique environments that water creates. 

From swimming, boating and camping at Kerr Lake, that stretches into Virginia, to canoeing and kayaking with majestic cliffs of the Neuse River as your backdrop, in between Goldsboro and Kinston, to experiencing the unique Carolina Bay ecosystem on display at Lake Waccamaw, there's so much to see and do.
