Compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act and North Carolina General Statute 121-12(a) ensures consideration of North Carolina's historic cultural resources. The Environmental Review Branch of the NC SHPO reviews projects that are funded, licensed, or approved by state or federal agencies for potential impacts to historic properties.
