North Carolina Museum Week

Join us in celebrating North Carolina museums June 1 -7, 2020. This special week has been created to bring to light the meaningful impact museums have for North Carolina residents, tourism and the economy, and their communities. This year’s activities will be virtual experiences while museums adhere to North Carolina’s Safer At Home order. Join in the celebration by following the hashtags #NCMuseumWeek on social media throughout the week.

North Carolina Museum Week is a celebration of  North Carolina museums. The purpose is to raise awareness of North Carolina museums as centers of education, community anchors, economic engines, employers, stewards of culture and history, and more!

We encourage you to use this week in a way that works best for you, your organization, and your community.
 

How can I particpate?

How can I particpate?

You can participate in whatever way is best for you! This year we will be heavily promoting virtual experiences and resources. Share your resources and story by using the following hashtags when making your social media posts throughout the week. #NCMuseumWeek.

Help spread the word on social media:

  • Like and share #NCMuseumWeek posts on your social media pages
  • Develop your own posts and tag them with the hashtag #NCMuseumWeek 
  • Change your cover photo to one of the graphics included in the toolkit
