Treasures from Blackbeard’s Queen Anne’s Revenge at the Western Office

<p>To commemorate the 300<sup>th</sup>&nbsp;anniversary of Blackbeard&rsquo;s adventures along the North Carolina coast &ndash; the place where he was ultimately brought to justice &ndash; the North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources is showcasing a traveling exhibit that includes artifacts representing weaponry, nautical tools and personal items recovered from his wrecked flagship the&nbsp;<em>Queen Anne&rsquo;s Revenge (QAR)</em>.&nbsp;</p>

To commemorate the 300th anniversary of Blackbeard’s adventures along the North Carolina coast – the place where he was ultimately brought to justice – the North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources is showcasing a traveling exhibit that includes artifacts representing weaponry, nautical tools and personal items recovered from his wrecked flagship the Queen Anne’s Revenge (QAR)

The exhibit will be on display at the Western Archives Office from Nov. 6 to Jan. 6.  In addition to regular hours of Monday – Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Western Office will have two special Saturday openings on Nov. 18 and Jan. 6.
