The National Geographic Society has awarded the North Carolina Zoo's Dr. Corinne Kendall a $20,000 grant in support of her project on vultures.

To celebrate Earth Day, Tryon Palace will have special activities and guests throughout the grounds and at the North Carolina History Center Saturday, April 23, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
