Due to adverse weather conditions today the following venues have taken these actions:

  • Battleship North Carolina, Wilmington: closed, Monday, October 5

  • Carolina Beach State Park, Carolina Beach: closed, Sunday, October 4

  • Chimney Rock Park, Chimney Rock: closed, Friday, Octover 2 (atttraction area closed; state park areas still open)

  • Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum, Hatteras: closed, Friday, October 2 and Monday, October 5

  • Horne Creek Living Historical Farm, Pinnacle: closed, Satuday, October 2

  • Fort Fisher State Historic Site, Kure Beach: closed, Monday, October 5

  • Fort Fisher State Recreation Area, Kure Beach: beach closed, Friday, October 2 (other park areas still open) and Monday, October 5

  • Hammcoks Beach State Park, Swansboro: Bear Island closed, Friday, October 2

  • Mount Mitchell State Park, Burnsville: closed, Saturday, October 3 and Monday, October 5

  • N.C. Aquarium at Fort Fisher, Kure Beach: closed, Monday, October 5

  • N.C. Maritime Museum at Beaufort: the 25th Annual Seafood Festival Regatta scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 4 is cancelled

  • N.C. Maritime Museum at Southport: closed Friday, October 2 and Saturday, October 3
