Reed Gold Mine - Gold Panning Opens April 2nd

Event Description

Reed Gold Mine will officially open the 2019 panning season on April 2, 2019. Anyone 8 and older can try to "strike it rich" by panning throught the rocks and dirt in the designated panning area. Reed staff will be on hand to help visitors work their way through the pans, providing instruction and history of gold panning in North Carolina.

Visitors may take home any gold (or neat rocks) found in the panning area.
