Kites!

Exhibit Background: This exhibit is written for younger audiences with bright colors and information on kite history, the role of kites in developing the Wright Brothers’ plane, and kite safety.

Size: 7 retractable free-standing banners with addition of prop kites and educational interactives to teach.  

Duration of Exhibit: 8-12 weeks

NOTE: this is an indoor exhibit only

Educational and manipulative components include:

  • Make a kite craft activity
  • Discover the Wind interactive STEM activity
  • Measuring the Wind interactive STEM activity
  • Make a Wind Scale Craft activity
  • The Science of Kite Flying
