Rich in the Rare
“Rich in the Rare” showcases some of North Carolina’s rare species, both plant and animal. An introductory panel defines terms that relate to the health of a particular population, including “extinct,” “endangered,” and “threatened.” Five subsequent panels highlight some of the state’s most unique habitats, from the mountains to the coast, as well as 3-5 species endemic to each and inset sections on what people can do to help protect the wildlife and environments. Children’s interactives, such as a loggerhead turtle game and park ranger dolls, will help enliven the images and information. Two bird wood carvings and an acrylic tabletop display case are also available to accompany the exhibit.
Size: 6 retractable free-standing banners with addition of props and educational interactives to teach visitors about rare and endangered species in North Carolina.
