Event Description

Come and experience fun, food, arts, history and crafts at this fall event.  Corn was a major staple and cash crop at Somerset Place when it was an active plantation.  Join in hands-on activities to make corn crafts, compete in a corn-hole game or corn-on-cob eating contest, sample corn products, engage in a corn processing food demonstration or enjoy and learn about Somerset's history during a guided tour of the plantation.  Somerset's popular cornbread recipe and mix will be demonstrated on the hearth and available for sale.  Wagon rides on the historic carriage trails will be offered. Vendors, artisans and tradespeople will sell and display their skills and wares. The admission fee of $2 for children and $4 for adults.
