Temporary Exhibit: "Reading, Writing, and Race"

Event Description

We are excited to announce the opening of our new temporary exhibit "Reading, Writing, and Race," curated by Dr. Benjamin Filene and Linda Jacobson.

The exhibit will be on display from June 12th until early August. It explores the concepts of race in literature and Southern life through the story of "Tobe." "Tobe" looks at the life of an everyday, middle-class African American family pre-Civil Rights era.
