North Carolina Museum of History

With a collection of more than 350,000 artifacts that tell the story of North Carolina's diverse people and places and a signature exhibit that covers more than 14,000 years of history, the North Carolina Museum of History encourages you to discover the Tar Heel State’s past and to reflect on your life and place in history.

Its interactive, engaging exhibits make history accessible to everyone, and a regular schedule of hands-on activities, lectures, films, and other events make the museum the perfect place for family fun.

Whether history is your passion or you're just looking for a fun and educational way to spend your day, the N.C. Museum of History's exhibits covering everything from pirates to the Civil War to the Old North State's sports greats will keep you entertained.
