Traveling Exhibit: James Monroe's Southern Tour at Historic Edenton

Just in time for the 200th Anniversary Presidential Ball for James Monroe at the Courthouse!
Prepared by the museum studies students at the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Virginia, the exhibit commemorates the bicentennial of President Monroe's southern tour, highlighting his visits from Virginia south to North Carolina (Edenton's 1767 Chowan County Courthouse), South Carolina, Georgia, and Alabama, and west to Tennessee, Kentucky, and Indiana. This exhibit will be located in the Historic Edenton Visitor's Center at 108 N. Broad Street in Edenton, opened 9-5 Tue-Sat and is sponsored by the Friends of the Shepard-Pruden Memorial Library.

*The exhibit will be on display at the 1767 Chowan County Courthouse for two days, April 12-13, 2019.
