Chat Hours

Due to regional contests staffing and travel, chat will be offline until the last week of March. We encourage you to submit questions to nchistoryday@ncdcr.gov for a quick response.

Is the chat offline?

If you visit the chat outside advertised hours it will show that the chat is offline. You can email questions to nchistoryday@ncdcr.gov and we will respond within 24 hours - often much less!

Online safety is our top priority! Chat is managed by N.C. History Day staff. All chats are monitored and transcriptions are logged after a chat is complete. Students should only start a chat conversation with a parent or guardian's permission.
