 Bentonville Battlefield State Historic Site soon will commemorate the 159th anniversary of the Battle of Bentonville with a day of historic demonstrations, activities, and informative presentations.

The CSS Neuse Museum is pleased to announce an upcoming free admission day scheduled for Saturday, March 2, 2024. The event is expected to start at 10 a.m. and will continue until 3 p.m.

The sounds of one of the final Civil War battles will echo again on the anniversary of the clash that occurred in North Carolina.

Bentonville Battlefield State Historic Site is excited to announce the return of its nature-themed event, “Bentonville in Bloom.” The event will showcase the natural resources and wildlife that call Bentonville home.

Bentonville Battlefield State Historic Site will commemorate the anniversary of the Battle of Bentonville March 18, with a day of historic demonstrations, activities, and informative presentations.

Brunswick Town/Fort Anderson State Historic Site will commemorate the 158th anniversary of the fall of Fort Anderson Saturday, Feb. 18. Free activities from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., will include infantry demonstrations, medical and embalming interpretations, and more.

Bentonville Battlefield State Historic Site will host its annual Christmas Open House, “A Civil War Christmas,” on Saturday, Dec. 3 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The CSS Neuse Museum has partnered with non-profit organization KultureCity to provide a sensory inclusive experience for all museum programs and events.

Take a ride on a wagon around the historic Harper House at Bentonville Battlefield’s annual fall festival on Nov. 5.

Eyewitnesses to the battle of Bentonville likened the noise of the fight to “one continuous peel of heavy thunder.” Bentonville Battlefield State Historic Site will recreate that noise Aug. 20 during its “Heavy Thunder” event.
