The 440th Army Band will give a free performance on the Tryon Palace South Lawn overlooking the Trent River in downtown New Bern Sunday, July 3. Gates open at 5 p.m. and the concert begins at 7 p.m.

The North Carolina Symphony joins with the Durham Performing Arts Center to present the best of Broadway in a one-night-only revue.  The orchestra will play music from new and beloved works including Grease and Gypsy. 

The international singer songwriter, Jennifer Licko, specializing in Scots Gaelic and Country folk music is bringing her international band back to the Southeast, including a performance at the North Carolina History Center Tuesday, July 5, at 7:30 p.m.

The North Carolina Symphony will celebrate America’s 240th birthday with a concert of patriotic favorites and high-spirited classics in its traditional free Independence Day concert, with fireworks, at Fayetteville’s Festival Park, Friday, July 1, at 8 p.m.  Concertgoers may bring food and non-alcoholic beverages.  Pets are not permitted in Festival Park.

The North Carolina Symphony celebrates the range and power of Beethoven with a two-day festival at the 2016 UNC REX Healthcare Summerfest in Cary’s Koka Booth Amphitheatre, with two different programs, on Thursday June 16, and Friday, June 17.
