If you are interested in becoming a museum volunteer, register for an interview by Monday, Sept. 14. To register, contact Debra Nichols, volunteer and group programs coordinator, at 919-807-7986.

A series of training classes will begin in mid-September and take place every Monday through Dec. 7. Select either a morning or an evening session to fit your schedule.

During training classes, participants learn about interpreting touch items on exhibit Spotlight Carts, guiding exhibit tours for children and adults, and more. They discover more about exhibits that include The Story of North Carolina, North Carolina Sports Hall of Fame and A Call to Arms: North Carolina Military History Gallery. For more details about becoming a docent, visit the museum’s website at ncmuseumofhistory.org.
