Bright Star Touring Theatre is a national professional touring theatre company based in Asheville and serves nearly 1,000 audiences in schools, theaters, libraries, museums and more across the country. Bright Star regularly performs for The National Theatre in Washington D.C. and has gained international support by accepting an invitation from the U.S. Embassy to visit Moscow, Russia with their programs.

The Ugly Duckling is packed with audience participation and lessons about acceptance, friendship and inner beauty.  Their costume designers have created poultry in motion with their brightly colored ensemble of birds. Get ready for a hilarious, heartfelt production based on Hans Christian Andersen’s classic tale.
