The Federation of North Carolina Historical Societies is a coalition of historical societies, museums, historic sites, associations and commissions located throughout the state that are dedicated to preserving and promoting history in North Carolina.
Led by an advisory board made up of members of historical organizations from across the state, the Federation encourages membership for any group in North Carolina concerned with history, whether on a local, regional, or state level. Some member organizations have a statewide focus, while others may be dedicated to a single project like restoring a historic building in the county.
